Health & Safety Policy

  1. Statement of intent

Revilo Furniture Limited (“the Company”) is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, contractors, visitors, and others who may be affected by our activities. We recognise our responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations, and aim to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Our objectives are to:

  • Prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related ill health.
  • Provide safe equipment, systems of work, and working conditions.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained and competent to carry out their duties safely.
  • Consult with employees on matters affecting health and safety.
  • Continuously review and improve our health and safety performance.
  1. Responsibilities

Management

  • Provide safe systems of work and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
  • Assess and control risks to health and safety arising from work activities.
  • Provide appropriate training, instruction, and supervision.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported and investigated.

Employees

  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and instructions.
  • Report hazards, unsafe practices, and any accidents or incidents immediately.

Contractors & Visitors

  • Must comply with company health and safety rules and procedures while on site.
  1. Arrangements

We will ensure that:

  • Risk assessments are carried out regularly and findings are implemented.
  • Safe handling, storage, and transport of goods is maintained.
  • Equipment is properly maintained and safe to use.
  • Emergency procedures (including fire evacuation and first aid) are in place and communicated to all staff.
  • Adequate welfare facilities are provided.
  1. Training & communication
  • Employees will receive appropriate health and safety induction and refresher training.
  • Health and safety matters will be communicated clearly and regularly.
  • Consultation with employees will take place on health and safety issues.
  1. Monitoring & review
  • Health and safety performance will be monitored through regular inspections.
  • This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there are significant changes to the business or legislation.
